I'm a big sports fan and statistics always intrigued me whenever they are shown to prove a point during a game about a players worth, strengths, weaknesses, and how they stake up against others. We're in the midst of baseball season and having be the oldest sport here recording statistics, the most recent ones are being seen now. Research shows that for the first time in recent history, baseball has a strike zone smaller than the year before. Although in a single game it may not be noticeable, but as shown, the sample sizes are almost 700,000 pitches last year and 460,000 this year so far. Obviously data has outliars, but when it's of that amount it can only even out.
